Technical leadership on fees and pricing for global merchants, working AI-first with Devin as the primary AI tool.

Interchange++ & Cost-Plus

  • End-to-end leadership of the interchange fee infrastructure: a centralized catalog with a dedicated data model, from technical discovery with product to requirements, serving global clients such as Google, Netflix, TikTok, Booking, Airbnb and Temu.
  • Designed and architected a rule-driven Billing Engine applying multi-criteria blended fees and transparent Interchange++ models, decoupling cost recovery from real-time settlement — validated through a technical feasibility PoC.

Tax, Cost & Fees

  • Data architecture that imports, normalizes and serves taxes, costs and fees at global scale, with sandbox validation and reconciliation ensuring 100% accuracy before propagating to transactional and reporting systems.

Smart Onboarding

  • Merchant onboarding integrations — sellers and drivers — for large platforms such as TikTok and Temu.
  • Collaboration with the Chinese team to align KPIs, monitoring and compliance with project standards.

Senior Software Engineer — Appmax

Evolved and scaled an integrated platform for payment processing, order management and payouts, built on distributed microservices.

  • Led the payouts (cash out) system from scratch, with multi-currency conversion and financial processing (BRL and USD for cross-border accounts) and real-time exchange rates. The platform quickly scaled to an average of 30 payouts per minute during business hours.
  • Engineered a high-performance Financial Ledger service, designed and approved under extreme stress tests to handle 20,000 requests per second (RPS).
  • Advanced observability and scalability for an ecosystem that has already processed more than 110 million orders.
  • Led the receivables team: CERC integration for receivables registration and settlement, in full compliance with Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) regulations.
  • Event-driven infrastructure with messaging (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS and SNS) for asynchronous communication between distributed microservices.
  • Optimized relational databases through query reviews and indexing, added caching for balance lookups and message dispatching, and used Redis for high-throughput data.
  • Led projects for cash advances, guarantees, fee and retention management, Ethoca (chargebacks) and Olos (telephony).
  • Payment method integrations with acquirers (Adyen, Rede, Cielo) and payment service providers (Pagar.me, Mundipagg).
